Beware of fakes
In 2013, we started to actively fight against companies that distribute counterfeits. We held working meetings with representatives of law enforcement agencies and developed a joint action plan. Legal companies specializing in intellectual property issues were involved in cooperation.
Monitoring of sales in various retail outlets in Moscow, Moscow Region and other regions of Russia revealed the presence of counterfeit products in a number of outlets. As a rule, such products are sold at a low price, which attracts the attention of customers.
Since the beginning of 2014 and up to the present time, representatives of law enforcement agencies have carried out about 30 measures to detect counterfeit products of GROHE trademark. Based on the results of inspections, organizations selling counterfeit products were brought to administrative responsibility: counterfeit products were confiscated, the entrepreneurs were fined, and the stores were deprived of the status of an official Grohe sales point.
The work in this direction continues. We plan to bring the violators to civil liability for the damage caused to the right holder, as well as to continue activities to detect and suppress the sale of counterfeit products.
To avoid purchasing counterfeit products, we recommend that you buy GROHE products from our authorized retailers listed in the "Where to Buy?" section of www.grohe-cac.com.
Remember to ask for warranty cards from the retailer. Make sure that the warranty cards are filled out correctly, stamped and signed by the retailer. This will help to avoid warranty denials when you contact GROHE service centers.
We regularly purchase a large number of products, some of which are needed for pleasure and some of which are vital. Basic sanitary products are usually vital, because they are used daily for hygiene procedures or in the process of cooking in the kitchen.

The quality of counterfeit products is extremely low: cheap low-quality cartridges are not properly fixed inside the faucets, which in the process of operation can lead to their disruption and accident with water spillage.

- hoses can be easily unscrewed from the sink faucet - original GROHE faucets have hoses that are securely fixed: they can only be removed with a special tool or screwed in very tightly with a fixing glue, which prevents the possibility of leaks.
- fake faucets are lighter in weight. The alloy from which the fake is made is likely to contain less copper. There is a possibility that the alloy is harmful to health - in the process of operation, it is possible that harmful metals may be released into the water.
- the packaging of faucets does not have a rich blue brand color, but closer to light blue, which is a consequence of low-quality printing.
- the warranty card is missing or printed on paper of very low quality
When buying in-store, we advise all of our customers to check and ask for:
- official manufacturer's certificate
- a GROHE warranty card filled out in the prescribed format
- a receipt to be able to return the product if it is found to be counterfeit.
